Almost three weeks ago I pointed out that Angelina Jolie happens to have a “slightly asymmetrical chin.” A trait she shares, incidentally, with almost every other person in the world.
However, as they say, “you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” I just found this image of Angelina among hundreds of others which show her face and body in creative ways most of us couldn’t even imagine. I’m not quite sure why the artist gave poor Angie a black eye and a bloodshot eye as well as an abrasion or two. Maybe she just stood up to a bully.

The image is from the Worth1000.com website which bills itself as the top creative contest site in the world: “Every day we run lots of creative competitions of all types, including Effects contests (otherwise known as photochop or photoshop contests), photography contests, illustration contests, writing contests and more forms of multimedia.”

Relatedly, I found another interesting cleft lip “picture” here. The website seems to be an anime cartoon site featuring a character with a cleft lip named Konata.
Anime is a term used to refer to Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn or computer animation. It is stylized art which often relies on formulaic expressions to denote certain emotions. Manga is a similar term to anime. It simply refers to comic book as opposed to video or movie anime.
Poor girl, every time she opens her mouth, it turns into a triangle. There are hidden messages everywhere regarding Konota’s cleft lip. Here’s someone’s comment about the character Konata at the website:

I think this anime manga stuff is messed up and wrong- why the hell would anyone add a cleft to her?
Anything for art, I guess?
I do think the art draws attention to a worldwide problem. And some people
still feel clefts – repaired or not – stigmatize people. “Work of the devil,” etc.
