If you’re like a lot of people, you’re dying (no pun intended) to learn more about The Golden State Killer. I blogged last week just after Joseph Angelo was arrested as a prime suspect. I noted some of the basic info about The Golden State Killer that law enforcers released after his arrest.
The Golden State Killer.
Since that time, there have been many articles and TV newscasts adding more details about The Golden State Killer case. But, one of the most interesting sources of info of late is an article about a re-broadcast of a “48 hours” program shown a year ago. The article is not just about The Golden State Killer, but about many of the key players who kept the case alive after 40 years of frustrating and fruitless investigations.
Michelle McNamara—Crime Writer.
The Golden State Killer author.
One of the key players was writer Michelle McNamara who doggedly pursued info on the case, publishing both before and after her sudden death at age 46. Her husband, comedian Patton Oswalt, helped posthumously publish her manuscript as I’ll Be Gone in the Dark. McNamara’s death, BTW, was not the result of foul play. She died as the result of taking a variety of prescribed drugs on top of an undiagnosed heart problem.
Again, with new details under your belt, do you think Joseph DeAngelo’s the guy who terrorized California for decades?
My latest book, PRIVILEGED KILLERS, is a true story about a half-dozen Dark Triad people in my everyday life - narcissists, manipulators, and psychopaths. Three of 'em murdered people, and one came after my wife and me. Print and e-book versions of this (and CLEFT HEART) available at Amazon and elsewhere online. Also at your local bookstore.
