We’ve all seen the lookism click-bait before and after shots, esp of celebrities. They try to get us to buy anti-aging products. One that’s been getting a lot of attention lately is Parisian Glow cream that claims to have Dr. Oz’s endorsement.
I’ve printed excerpts from a recent Parisian Glow ad below. However, if you read that ad carefully, it really suggests only that Dr. Oz recommends Vitamin C, and maybe he has. Whether he’s endorsed Parisian Glow or any other anti-aging product is still up in the air.

Scams feed into our lookism?
Some websites and experts are beginning to call “foul” re this exploitation of society’s rampant lookism. Here’s an edited version of a recent investigation by a popular blogger:
“Dr. Oz is plagiarized more than anyone on the web!
These scam artists use his pictures, video clips, fake quotes, anything to make you believe that Dr. Oz is recommending them.
[Often] they state that Oprah is [merging] her new skin care line with Dr. Oz’. This is a flat out lie, please don’t believe them.
Dr. Oz does not, I repeat DOES NOT have his own skin care line, cream or serum. These crooks can say anything they want, don’t believe their false advertisements!
I’m not trying to be mean about this, it’s not your fault that there are liars and crooks out there, I’m just trying to help open your eyes so you won’t fall for it.
I get countless emails every day from women saying “I ordered Dr. Oz’s serum and now he billed me $90, what a jerk for being involved in these scams.” Truth is he’s NOT responsible, because these are not his creams. These are crooks and liars using his name to sell their products!”

Whether or not Dr. Oz’ lawyers are sending out ‘cease and desist’ notices to scammers, the fake ads are losing the good doctor fans. Here’s an example:
“Doctor Oz – RIPPED OFF !!! & PISSED OFF !!!
IT’S A SCAM TO GET UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR CREDIT OR BANK ACCOUNT !!! The offer claims you can try it by paying only the shipping/handling charges. The problem is, after you place your order and pay the shipping/handling ($3.95 for a dinky tube the size of a tube of super glue and $4.99 for a cylindrical “jar” about the size of a single contact lens case) – they tap your credit for the shipping and then come back and charge it again later for each of the two products … in my case on 2 separate days from different sources.
I’m calling my bank, blocking my account, filing fraud papers and notifying the Attorney Generals in New York and California. 11/17/2016 The sad part is that the stuff does work to some degree and might be worth $10.00 tops for the sparce amount you get …
BUT, at $190.for a tablespoon of whatever it is, this scam is flat out thievery.”
The ad:
Using the Parisian Glow Skin Cream and Parisian Glow Eye Cream combo, removed virtually 90% of all [pictured person’s] wrinkles and problem areas. It tightened her face and neck, removing all signs of sagging, aging, and dehydrated skin.
Will This Work For You?
There are plenty of skincare gimmicks out there, and most of them are ridiculously expensive. With so many options it?s only natural for you to be skeptical about the results, and so we don’t want to promise our readers anything, we simply want to challenge you to do what Dr. Oz recommended on the show: try it for yourself!
