Besides revelations regarding Trump’s cabinet picks, last week saw news about his signature TV show, “The Apprentice.” Trump plans to be executive producer of his hit NBC show which will be hosted by none-other-than Arnold Schwartzenegger starting January2, 2017.

Many feel Trump should focus on the new job he won in his stunning election upset. But, there is a silver lining to this latest cloud in President-elect Trump’s sky, even tho he’s unlikely to lift much of a finger for his five-figure per-show fee s well as ongoing profits from the franchise. 

The silver lining is that one of the celebrity contestants, Brooke Burke, will donate her prize, if she wins, to Operation Smile. Going by her married name now, Burke-Charvet is a dancer, model, and television personality. She is known for hosting of Wild On!,  Rock Star, Dancing With the Stars. . . and winning the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars.

“Sixteen celebrities will compete for their favorite charities on “The New Celebrity Apprentice” as it shifts to Los Angeles where twice-elected California governor, successful businessman and international movie superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger reigns over the boardroom.

The highly anticipated season launches Monday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Celebrity contestants will compete in challenging business-driven tasks more focused than ever on technology and innovation, testing their ability to work together as a team while raising money and awareness for their favorite causes. Each episode will conclude with a compelling boardroom showdown when Schwarzenegger evaluates the performances of all of the players before deciding which team wins the challenge and who will be sent home. The season will conclude with an exciting two-part finale Feb 6 and Feb. 13.

Over the course of the series, “The Celebrity Apprentice” has raised more than $15 million for charity. This season’s winner will gain the coveted title of the Celebrity Apprentice and a $250,000 check to give to their designated charity.”
