What’s shocking is this victim of , Rebecca Sedwick, was 12 years old. Cyberbullied Bart was 15.

Rebecca’s friends and family said goodbye to her today. Many of the 250 people at the funeral wore  T-shirts with an anti-bullying slogan in neon green, the girl’s favorite color. Family members had asked mourners to wear colorful clothing because Becca, as she liked to be called, hated black. Too dreary.

A Tampa Bay TV news source, Grayson Kamm reported that Lyndsey Brown, Becca’s friend, said,  “She smiled all the time and she joked and played around. She was just a happy girl, and very funny. And she was amazing.”  Kamm alleges Becca usually wore a smile, even after the face-to-face changed to cyberbullying when she changed to get away from the torment.

According to Becca’s mother, the young girl from Central Florida killed herself after being bullied online by several girls for almost twelve months. Becca climbed up a tower at an abandoned concrete plant and hurled herself to her death.

Per AP reports, law enforcement authorities say the girl was “terrorized” by as many as 15 girls who ganged up on her  months through online message boards and texts. Authorities say they are investigating whether there is enough evidence to bring charges against any of the girls.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told the AP, “The  bullying began over a  ‘boyfriend issue’ and some of the girl’s entries in her diaries found at home ‘would break your heart.'”
